Why Alcohol Test Preferred at School?

Alcohol test should be conducted at school level so the test detects alcohol an indicator of alcohol exposure that is found in urine. The trend is alarming some civil people who say there are better ways to discourage teen substance abuse.

The desire to protect students from the dangers of alcohol or other drugs is understandable. But sometimes this concern takes on a zeal that ignores other legitimate concerns such as whether it intrudes on family privacy and whether guilty until proven innocent is a lesson we want to teach our students.

The school system also uses the EtG test. High school students suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol were subjected to screening. The EtG test has been added to the district's random testing program. More students are being tested.
