Alcohol is often mentioned in the categories of drugs just to make excuses to use frequently by the addicts. It appears as a fun when we hear such type of things especially when is the case of abuse or alcohol addiction subject. Most times alcohol is taken as a separate substance from the abuse. But again the question produced can alcohol be considered a drug? This is not wrong to say that alcohol is not a drug considered by the treatment experts, but only considered by the addict itself.
Drug may be defined as a substance that is responsible to give effect on living cells and their function and this is being used for medical purposes like prevention and cure of diseases and disorders produced due to some other reasons .Alcohol can never be called as a drug as it is not used to give effects of cure. But it is a substance that can give some of the effects which are similar to drugs. These include, a disinfectant, to act as an analgesic, being a tranquilizer, sometimes may also be considered as a stimulant.
Both have different functioning. Alcohol effects the body badly on the other hand drug is going to be a part of care, sometimes drug may cause side effects but not always. People who use to have drugs without any reason are called as the addicted ones. Addiction of the drug is easy to recover than the alcohol abuse. From the different searches these can be differentiated.
