Beware of Alcoholism

Alcohol abuse is another serious addiction besides drug addiction. Most people are in try to leaving these lives threatening habit at any cost, but find it difficult to get success. Consequences of alcohol and drug addiction are known by every mind of families, especially young children.

Alcoholism is defined as excessive use of alcohol or drug, severe results of prolonged and excessive consumption of that leads to death. The alcoholic have great desire for alcohol and can not leave it easily. Usually he/she is totally unable to help himself to leave the situation.

Various causes are available for alcoholism that is deeply rooted in the varying insecurities of the addict toward some of the matters. There is no such addiction bad as that of the "alcoholic type".

An alcoholic may drink a lot in short periods of time without thinking about it deeply. The effects can be seen both mentally and physically. The compulsive drinker loses his appetite he /she does not desire for food and may develop dangerous malnutrition. The symptoms involved are enlarged and fatty liver, the damaged heart, and other organ are also affected by its use.

Depressed, and a steady and progressive disintegration of personality takes place due to the destruction of medulla of brain. So we can say that nervous system is affected to great extent. Development of delirium tremens is present. In which loss of all sense of time, space, and surroundings takes place. The condition varies from day to day and requires emergency treatment.
