Several organs and functions can be damaged because of heavy alcohol drinking over a long period of time. Those areas at risk are the liver and heart - most crucial organs. The liver is "in charge" of processing the alcohol in the body. A proper processing of alcohol can be obtained from liver. So being much of the time with alcohol the damage to liver is obtained. When we drink more and more the liver is unable to do its job properly and body starts to become saturated with alcohol that is the reason to destroy other body.
When your body becomes saturated with alcohol the unprocessed alcohol goes straight to brain and causes the behavior to produce like impaired judgment, loss of inhibitions, etc. A much bigger problem begins to occur when the use of alcohol is not been stopped.
